Loads for a .243
« on: August 25, 2015, 07:49:12 AM »
What are some of the different loads you guys are using for .243?  I see that H4350 is a favorite but what velocities are people typically pushing and still maintaining accuracy?  My plan is to use 105gr Match Burners.

Steven, I am just getting into this load, since I have grown up with the .308 it became natural to follow this line of cartridges.  I have a 7.7 twist so I am going to use Berger 107 and imr 8208 xlt powder.

I've only use 100gr BT Sierra Hunting bullets, WLR primers and H414 powder. Works extremely well for deer.
I just loaded some 100gr with RL-19 and I also loaded some 55gr Nosler BT using IMR4064. Haven't gotten to range to test them. I have a feeling that my 9.75 twist isn't going to do well with the  55gr. But we'll see.
